In general we shouldn’t portray ourselves as something we aren’t, you shouldn’t even tell coworkers you are a nurse when you are not, new housekeeping or kitchen staff might not know the difference, its just a potentially harmful situation, I do agree it should be nipped in the bud at the first instance, report it to management first and go from there. As far as her possible aspirations to become a nurse, I didn’t call myself an RN until I knew I had passed the state boards. Trust is a nurse’s greatest tool in order to take care of our pt’s. Gallop polls year after year say the public trusts us more than any other profession, that is a humbling statement and earning it is no small task. It is an honor and a privilege to be a nurse. Thank You
