My best advice is to not get discouraged. I know that older, senior staff nurses can be harsh on new nurses, hence the saying “Nurses eat their young”. But don’t let that get you down.
You should be extremely proud of yourself! Studying to become a nurse takes a lot of work. It’s hard enough for people with no children to handle the course load, and yet you did it while raising your daughter. Kudos to you! That is awesome!
My best advice to you is to never lose your spark, that inner desire that drove you to become a nurse.
You will likely find that even on your worst day, when it’s all said and done and that bad day is over, nursing is a job that is truly rewarding.
