Nailinit- does her saying this to you bother you that much? If she insists you are not listening and you repeated back to her what she said then she obviously has other issues and you can’t save the world! So what she thinks you aren’t listening! Who cares? You know you are so do what you do and go take care of your patient. And I agree with Jason on going to the boss thing. Really? This went to a boss? I would hate to be you on the floor when that got around and also I’m sure your boss had way more important issues to deal with then this. I work with some nurses who email the boss when someone farts on the floor and the boss rolls their eyes whenever they come to complain. Just tell her to get over it and move on!

And hardworking-while I admire your attempt to help nailinit and give her advice if a nurse did to me what you suggested I would walk away and go read the chart myself. There is not enough time in the shift for all of that mess, I’d like to see the patient and do some nursing while I’m there lol
