It took me a long time to get my RN, but I never gave up until I got there. I had a lot of health issues as a child, and knew even then that I wanted to be a nurse. Even back as far as 1979, I saw that nurses make a huge difference. I got my CNA in 1992, LPN finally in 2004 after several stints at college, and finally my Associate degree in nursing in June of 2012. BSN may happen eventually, but right now I’m happy with what I have and what I do. I like having a positive impact on others’ lives. For me, that makes it worth it.
