I am currently in the middle of a quarter-life crisis where I thought I would be applying for a couple LPN programs but I didn’t fully complete the prereqs like I thought I did. My boyfriend and I will be traveling starting January 2017 for his job- we will be relocated about every 1.5-3 years. I was looking at the classes I have taken, and was wondering if I should take anymore classes this upcoming fall semester so I can fully cover all prereqs required by different LPN programs across the United States. Here is what I have done so far:
1. Mircrobio w/ lab
2. Gen chem
3. Organic chem w/ lab
4. A&P 201 w/ lab
5. A&P 211 w/ lab
6. Medical terminology
7. Basic human nutrition
8. Intro to Psych*
9. Intro to College Writing*
* – these two have been required for a couple MT/ID programs so that’s why I included them
So, what do you think? Are there any other classes I should take to feel comfortable applying to any schools nationwide? Or do these classes generally cover most of the prereqs of LPN programs nationwide?
I should also add that I will by a CNA by the end of January. I know that some schools require that.
From my research, you are done with science prereqs. You should be applying to nursing programs!!!!!!
