I am ADN thinking about going back for my BSN. Will I get my money back? So basically I’m asking will the student loan debt be worth it? I would also like to know if I should go BSN or MSN. Would love to hear your experiences with this. I am an ADN nurse, in my 40’s, love ER, currently in a level 3 trauma center and would love to be in a level 1 trauma center in Nebraska or Colorado someday.

I think so. You can do a RN-BSN program all online. I work in CO, and the rural hospitals could really use your expertise! As for BSN or MSN, I think it depends on what your ultimate goal is. Do you want to be a FNP? We need those, too!

I earned my BSN at 43 yo and was able to pay off my student loan rapidly by working at the hospital who paid for me to get the BSN.
If you can afford it, go RN to MSN. With the MSN later on you can get a less stressful job without so much physical activity. You NEVER know what can happen to your health.
I am a disabled Critical Care RN who became sick overnite

Does your employer have tuition reimbursement?
