    Hello ,
I have been working telemetry / stepdown floor for the past 6 years , at over 7 hospitals due to some travel nursing . I got really burnt out and felt very repetitive and depressed so I quit and moved back home . I recently got a job interview in the emergency room which is something I always thought sounded ” exciting and morivating ” but I am a little worried because the stress and sadness of the tele floors was starting to get to me and I am thinking well how could ed be any better ? I have been waiting a long time to have the opportunity to change specialties but there is a voice in the back of my head saying don’t stress yourself out …. I am in a much more grounded place now than I was before I moved .

Hi Laura, It’s good that you have to make up for mind for this position. I think it is the opportunity you should for with full dedication and interest because in the emergency unit you need to strong mentally and physically also to support patients and their families. In this dept, the atmosphere would be bit rough and stress because emergency cases are sometimes very critical and you have to stay motivated to handle it proper manner but at the end, you will feel accomplished and think like you have achieved next level of your career.

    Best of luck and cheers
