When admin comes down with a really bad idea, and you have told them behind closed doors that it is a really bad idea, but they are determined to have it their way, when they announce it to the troops, do you put on a happy face and try to get everyone to support the way things are going to be, or do you tell them how awful things are going to get and you did everything in your power to stop it, but those idiots …. ?

If you can’t make a change, is it your duty to be supportive of new policies, or do you just put up with it because it is your job and let your opinion be heard by the rank and file?

Well, Jason. it depends on if I am the Unit Manager. Of course, I would smile and support operations, I think they call it…a little sarcasm.
Now, as a staff RN, I always let me voice be heard. It never helped, but they knew what I thought and why.
