We have the department of health walking around for their inspections this week (Think JCAHO type inspection.) Of course my hospital is ALWAYS complient with all of the rules, regulations, and recommendations, such as keeping cabinets locked and disposing of undated multi-dose vials, but I have heard that SOME hospitals actually act differently during an inspection than they do every other day of the year.

Do you find inspections to be helpful, or just a silly game we play?

Once again … my hospital is always compliant with all DOH and JCAHO recommendations, at all times, every day, in every department (and I’m not just saying that because my boss may read this… really.)
