I didn’t pass NCLEX the first time and I feel so discouraged while watching classmates pass. I have extreme anxiety when it comes to taking a test and not sure how to get over it. (Extreme to the point that I black out and have diarrhea). I’m so tired of everyone at work asking me if I took the NCLEX yet (and I have been telling them no, but know that they can look it up online and see that I failed) and coming up with every excuse as to why I haven’t taken boards yet. I have worked at the hospital for 30 years and have been a tech in the ED for 3 years (which to me makes things look 10 times worse and I should “know my stuff”). How do I get past this and move on to prepare for my next round of boards? I just feel so ashamed when coworkers and classmates are putting the pressure on me to know whether or not I have passed. 🙁 I should be eligible to take boards again in a little over 2 weeks and I’m so lost as to where to begin. – See more at: http://www.mightynurse.com/members/audia4/activity/411497/#sthash.mzAFJix1.dpuf
