    Three patients with identical wounds. One was self inflicted on purpose, one was self inflicted on accident, and one was inflicted by someone else. Examples being, a person shoots himself in the foot on purpose, a person shoots himself in the foot by accident, and lastly someone who gets shot in the foot by someone else.

    Do they deserve the same amount of pain meds, and will you treat them all the same? Go.

    Yes they do. Regardless of the manner of injury, if they all a
    have the same pain, they all get the same amount of pain meds. We are not paid to judge. We are paid to tend to the sick and injured PERIOD!

    That sounds like an ethical dilemma. I would have to be in the situation and I would not want to make a judgment call here.

    Why would they not? They all have the same pain. Why does it matter how the got it? What a stupid question
