Can you leave the bedside as a nurse and start a successful business outside the scope of nursing using the skills and the lessons learned as a nurse? After 38 years, I need time freedom to care for an ailing parent and have looked at non-nursing related options. I will always think like a nurse, ie. the nursing process but am going inactive. Have you experienced this?
I feel your pain and hope others report some great ideas. Just a reminder to others … no pimping your own business ventures in the forums. I’ve recently deleted several posts from people offereing their own services and products here, which is against the forum rules.
That being said, what can a nurse do to take a break from nursing for a while?
