How long and how many places did you work till you found where you felt like you belonged and it’s was where you loved to be. I am going through finding where I belong right now and do everything in my power to not have to go to work. I’ve only been there 3 months and have a job interview for somewhere else this week. I don’t know what to do I don’t want this job to beat me down so much I don’t wanna do it any more.

That’s the beauty of nursing … when you get a bad match or get burned out of one place, you can switch over and do something else. I have worked homehealth, tele, ICU, OR, and ER. ER has been my favorite, but after a decade here, I can tell that I might need to find something else before I retire … we’ll see. My bills require me to stay in a hospital position, but I doubt I would show up every day if the stopped paying me (while 5 years ago I would have kept coming just for the fun of the job.) good luck.
