I have a new job at a home care company. After I was hired I was told I would be on call 24/7. I get called after hours and on weekends fairly often. We got a new case yesterday and I was told I would need to open it on a Sat. I told them I already had plans. I was then told I would need to be available for an occasional weekend day for emergency new clients. So then I have basically have no life. I hate to quit a job after 2 months but I feel lied to. This was not disclosed in my interview.

Hello help. You’re being taken advantage of but you agreed initially to be on call 24/7. Why would you do that in the first place? Being on call does mean going into work etc. It can cover a multitude of things legally I believe so you may not be able to renegotiate the terms. Find an easier job. You need your own homes in uk and USA will use you up and spit you out so find a new job and insist on better conditions. Good luck.
