I was with a cardiology practice for 5 years and tranferred within the system to a care management position. Well, 7 months later the care managment position the concept amazing, but it seems like no one is able to operationalize it. Doing data entry on a nurse’s salary. Now received an offer to go to another cardiac position. Should I give CM more time? Anywhen else experience this?

Case Management is a RN desk job and yes you do alot of input in a computer and phone work and setting pts up with what they need and get them all the services they need and are qualified for. It sounds like to me that you are just missing your clinical skills work. Case management is critical thinking not critical skills work. It is a preference of which you want to use. Good luck.
