I’m looking for an a good online Lpn to RN bridge program that is affordable. If I have to go back to school at 58 years old, I would like to start as soon as possible.

Great question, I have run into the problem of, because I have been a nurse for 11 years, I have to take all pre-requisite courses over?? Is this correct? I do not feel I should have to pay for theses classes a second time!

it depends on the school. I am currently working on corequisites that are required for the RN program that were not required for the LPN program I took 14 years ago. I am hoping to be placed in the program this upcoming spring. Look into different schools. There is always excelsior as well but it’s very expensive compared to community college rates. Good luck!

I really wish the American Nurses Association would get involve and make it a little easier to get our RN. Some of us are older Lpns and if we have to go back to school, maybe we should ne able to test out instead of repeating classes. For me since my hospital closed, it has been difficult to find a job as an Lpn. It makes me feel like I’m not a nurse st all. I love being a nurse and have always loved taking care of people. It was very difficult to go back to school working 6 days a week and caring for my family. Now without a job,it’s difficult to go back now. What do I do?
