Any pointers to succeed in this class? Any advice would be appreciated.

The best thing you can do is review how the system you are studying works when it is working well. Once you understand that you can anticipate what will happen when dysfunction occurs. Join a study group and don’t be afraid to ask for help or clarification when you need it. Ask for help earlier rather than later. Hope tht helps.

Try getting an NCLEX book, saunders or Kaplan are good authors. They go by body systems and then you can use that to study!

Be prepared for clinicals and take advantage of any skills lab time you may have. The book learning part will come with reading your text book and reviewing your class notes, but learning how to do the skills well will give you a step up.
