My little brother recently earned his BSN and just passed his NCLEX. He is about to start applying for jobs, but is not confident in his resume as he has never worked in a hospital before (except for his clinical experiences for school). He has worked for his current job for about 5 years and has also included some Volunteer work on his resume. I told him to make sure to include his GPA and his RN license number. I worked as a tech for a year prior to graduating with my BSN. I also began working as a RN through a Nurse Residency Program, so my experience finding a job as a GN was much different. Does anyone else have any suggestions on how to make his resume seem more impressive? Thanks!

I’ve read articles bout this and even talk with some fresh graduates, they believe that it would be good to volunteer in nursing homes and community health centers to gain more nursing experiences..
