    Hello, newbie here!

So I currently work in retention and patience navigation as support staff. I have my medical assisting degree as well with 8 years of clinical experience. I have been anticipating enrolling into a nursing program for the longest time. My project director is investing into my growth and is willing to fund a trip to a conference (awesome right?!).

Does anyone know of any conferences I should look into attending for new potential nursing students?

Hello, my name is Purplespider and I live in Virginia. First, let me congratulate you on becoming a nurse and also wanted to help others in the process. Thank you also for being into the medical field as well. It is a rewarding field with lots of potential for growth and good experience. Attending a nursing conference is such an awesome experience. I attended a few in nursing school and thought that they were really worth the money and worth the time. The website that I am doing to give you enables you to see all of the nursing conferences globally. The website is here below:

This will give you a bunch of information that will help you search for the right nursing conference. I wish you the best in your career.

Thank you for your interest in going to a nursing conference. You can find those types of conferences on the internet by doing a search engine. You can also go to your local library, your chamber of commerce, your town hall or city hall, and I would also ask either your local government center and or your nursing professor and see what types of nursing conferences they would offer or would have for you. The school or university can also list upcoming conferences; especially in nursing.

Going to a conference is so important while in nursing school for so many reasons. The first thing is that you get to learn how to do different skills and nursing technology. For example, I went to a heart conference one long Saturday morning while in nursing school and it was worth it because I got to hear different sound techniques of the stethoscope that I would not have heard of otherwise. The second thing is that you get to be with other nurses who are learning as well as you are and you get to talk about nursing which can be very therapeutic. For example, I met a few new friends at the heart conference and they are now my friends. The third thing is that you can learn nursing concepts much more in depth from a conference. For example, many of the nursing students that I went to school with went to the capitol of our state which is Richmond and they sat in a making state laws for nurses conference. They really had a good time and learned about about why nurses have many state laws and nurses should voice their concerns within their state. I hope these examples have been helpful.
