I am building a software for an at home nursing department to find the availability of a nurse and their location in order to send the nurse to an in home patient visit in the most efficient manner. IE they don’t want to send you an hour away if there is someone closer to the appointment and they don’t want to waste your time with a bunch of appointments that you can’t reach. At the same time, I want to put in features that will benefit the NURSE! This is for nurses who do at home patient visits…When you get a patient’s information, what details are most important to you? What information do you need to tell back to your supervisor? Would you want a way to select procedures performed instead of needing to type it? Do you prefer to chart at the end of the day, or at the end of each appointment?

    Thank you for contributing!

As I was told, every hospital or healthcare agency has their nurses either on staff or contracted for work, in their service area. So you, as a nurse, would only get appointments from your employer BUT the appointments would be closer together for less driving and in more efficient routes so you could spend less time in the car giving you more time to do charting, working with patients etc. We are also putting in a mileage tracker so you can be reimbursed for mileage and get tax credits.

One question I have is, are there any nurses here who ONLY do home visits or part of the time they do home visits?
