    Hello there,

I would like to ask for some advice and help for my PEDS class. I have been doing well throughout nursing school, and am doing okay in Maternal-Newborn. However, I am having lots of trouble in Peds. I thought it was me, and I was doing something wrong, but it appears that my entire class is having some trouble. There is alot of content, and don’t have any clear direction for our tests. I am going to start using the NCLEX review book to aid in my concept studying. I appreciate any feedback and a test-taking strategy or what to keep in mind in Peds, that may help. It’s not an easy road, but I have worked hard to get this far, and want to finish this great journey. Thank you all 🙂

    Hi Tanya,

Do you have any supplemental material available to you? When I have trouble grasping a concept, I use ATI to add to what is in lecture or the textbook. It helps me to read information from a variety of sources, maybe the same will work for you. I had trouble in Peds as well, the support of my classmates and their encouragement to join in on study groups really improved my understanding (and my test grades!). Hope this helps!

I used a lot of flash cards for peds, the developmental stages and ages get confusing. But I’m flying high with a 95% so the cards are working.

I have been an Lpn for about 5 yrs now so i decided to return to school last year.
Any tips on What Online schools have you known to be a great school? I am currently using Excelsior through college network. After finding that there was no affiliation, i wa already out $4k. So, long story short, i need an online school that does not require me to travel outside of Oregon to do my clinicals like Excelsior does.
    I need a change….
