I have a friend an LPN who has to take call…must be there within 1 hr and 50 mi radius. She is oncall constantly. Should she be compensated for being on call? She lives in La. Need some help? Thanks in advance.

Through my career, I have been compensated anywhere from $1.25 to $2.00 for on call time. A small part of me almost feels that it should be minimum wage since I am actually on their clock and not free to do anything. That has been a losing battle though.
