A regular in the ER looked at me totally straight faced one day and said, “my neurologist said all of my problems are related to lack of oxygen to my brain.”

Had a patient bring in his pet snake, claiming it was a service animal and it would squeeze him before his seizures to let him know he was going to have one. When asked what type of seizure disorder he has, it proudly declared he was diagnosed with pseudo-seizures 🙂 The hospital has since changed its policy about which species are acceptable service animals.

I had an ER patient once insist that be was allergic to oxygen. I had to leave the room, every once in a while they say something that gives you “the giggles”
