I had several minimum wage jobs after high school, small factories, auto dealership, then after my 1st divorce decided to go into the US Navy, was tired of these minimum wage jobs, to obtain my education at the age of 25. I chose Surgical Technologist, spent 19 years with it then pursued my RN. I have been an RN since 2009 and loving every minute of it!! I am currently working 72 hour weeks, 40 as a surgical nurse and 32 in a long term care facility. Now at 51, I am also pursuing my BSN through WGU.
