    Hi all,

I have been working as an inpatient bedside nurse for 5 years (I did med surg for 3 and labor and delivery for 2 years). I am feeling burnt out and am looking to leave bedside nursing/ 12 hour shifts. However, I have absolutely no idea what I would want to do. My question is, what non-bedside nursing job do you work (in a clinic, school nursing, etc)? Do you enjoy it? Any advice would be helpful!

Also, what are some good places to look for nursing jobs online? I have been looking on sites like Monster but have not found them too helpful.

    Thanks!
    Jenny

I’m a psychiatric nurse at a residential treatment center for teenagers. They fight, they’re dramatic, but they’re a lot of fun.

I work as a flight nurse. We fly in a helicopter to both scenes and hospitals, taking care of critical trauma and medical patients in several states. When we’re not flying, we stay in a base with our own room, a kitchen and living room, just like at home. It is an exciting, fast paced profession for us “variety girls” who get bored easily!
