I am currently a nurse in TN. The pay here is horrible. We are looking to move and I wanted to know what the average pay is in Denver and Charleston. I have a BSN, work in Peds and have chemo certification. Please help me out. Thanks

Pediatric nurse: I’ve never been, let alone work in either of those places, but maybe this chart will help you get a feel for the average wage and cost of living in those states. Probably want to do some job hunting before you decide to move. Good luck. http://www.mightynurse.com/state-to-state-nursing/

I have looked at the chart and I feel that it is inaccurate. I want to here from a nurse that actually works in a hospital there and compare. Thanks.

I looked at the chart for where I work and live (MI)…. mind you I have been an RN for 13 years so I am close to the top of the pay scale…..I based mine on my base pay not including any shift differentials and based it on 72 hours per pay period….it was pretty close. If I were a new RN…it would be way off.
