I’m in the process of starting school at Fortis Institute in Pensacola, Fl. My husband is military so I’m very worried about accreditation since we could possibly be moving at anytime. This program is a 2 year accelerated program to get my ASN. They told me they are approved by the Florida Dept of Health and Board of Nursing. Also have ABHES and CIE. She said they are in the process of getting ACEN which is promising. I just went to the ACEN site though and they aren’t even on there as a candidate. She had told be that they should get it by the end of the year. Its Saturday so I cant call them so I’ve just been sitting here worrying about it.

The other Nursing schools around here that I know of are 4year and have long waiting lists for their nursing programs. With my situation, I would hate to be on their waiting list for a while and then have to move and have waited for nothing. I just dont have time for that. This is why I chose Fortis, they don’t have a waiting list.

Best nursing school in the Denver Colorado area, ready set go!
