I’ve never worked in any hospital in which the temperature stayed at a constant, comfortable level. First few were always too cold, and I would wear a lab jacket over my scrubs, current hospital is randomized, so I have never replaced my lab jacket, but now I alternate between too hot and too cold, usually on the same day. Maybe I’m going through mental pause?

Be thankful you don’t work SNF/LTC. It’s always tooooooo hot, but the residents are wearing sweater on top of sweater along with blankets on legs.

L&D floor is always 500 degrees too hot. Just what you want to walk into wearing a lab coat over your scrubs!
