Ohio nurse says she likes being able to book herself to job openings

If you’ve been around Mighty Nurse long enough, you’ve seen some great articles, humorous cartoons and fun contests. But did you know you can get a job, too?

Mighty NurseIn select markets, Mighty Nurse posts thousands of per diem jobs for nurses that are looking to pick up shifts. Right now, there’s an RN job in the ER in Dallas; a CNA position in Chicago; an LPN opening in Cleveland. The list goes on and you can search for yourself on our jobs page.

The idea behind the Mighty Nurse job matching service is to put nurses in control of their careers. By setting your preferences, you control what jobs you are notified about and how those notifications are delivered. You can book yourself to an opening directly from your phone or computer.

“I like being able to book a job via text message, said Heidi Martinez, a Mighty Nurse user in Columbus, Ohio who was activated to Mighty Nurse by her agency, Maxim Staffing Solutions. “I know when the shift is confirmed  and when I’m scheduled.” Martinez continued that she likes being able to take more control over the process of finding her per diem jobs.

“After setting up my preferences, I was getting just the job notifications that I wanted. I like that I can get shifts faster and book them myself now.”

For Martinez, maximizing the quality of the experience at Mighty Nurse meant setting up her preferences. They help filter the available jobs down to just what each individual nurse wants.

“When I was first activated, there were a lot of text messages for a lot of different jobs,” said Martinez. “But after setting up my preferences, I was getting just the job notifications that I wanted. I like that I can get shifts faster and book them myself now.”

Jobs are currently available only in select markets. You can search for yourself. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, an option will be given for you to sign up to be notified when jobs are posted in your area.
